Rock Dance

The
Artwork: “Rock Dance” was installed in City Hall in 2004. It was one
of three pieces selected to be hung in Edina City Hall for the 22 Miles:
Celebrating Minnehaha Creek art show. This gelatin silver print depicts
a young boy leaping across Minnehaha Creek.
The Arist: Polly Norman began her career in the arts when she
agreed to take photos for Our Lady of Grace Church in Edina. Since then, she
has branched out into other mediums, including photo illustrations, hand
coloring and abstract painting. Norman is also an instructor at the Edina
Art Center.
Funding: “Rock Dance” was funded by a grant from the Edina
Community Foundation. The major donor for the grant was Xcel Energy.
