Edina Art Center Faculty Exhibition

Edina, Minn., Jan. 8, 2009 -- During the year, nearly 7000 people take classes and attend workshops at the Edina Art Center in everything ranging from music for children, classes for kids and teens, and adult classes in drawing, painting, pottery, jewelry, doll making, leaded glass, mosaic artwork, visual journaling, sculpture, photography, media arts and more. The Art Center’s faculty consists of more than 70 talented artists.

Once a year, the entire faculty is invited to exhibit one or two of their creations. This is an excellent opportunity for potential students to see how each given instructor works. Most of the media mentioned above will be represented, so it is also an opportunity for artists to consider other ways of working in their own medium.

On Thursday, Jan. 8, from 5-8 p.m., the public is invited to a reception for participating artists. Many of the works will be available for sale. Take this opportunity to meet the artists, view and talk to them about their work and ask them questions about their classes.  The exhibition will continue through Feb. 23.

For more information, call the Edina Art Center at 612-915-6600 or visit www.EdinaArtCenter.com. The Edina Art Center is located at 4701 W 64th Street, Edina, MN, one mile west of Southdale on the northwest corner of Rosland Park (formerly Lake Cornelia Park).
